• Not have won the international equivalent award
  
• Not have won an international major award
  
• Not be an SPE Honorary Member
  
• Not be serving on the SPE Board of Directors or the selection committee
  
• Not have served on the SPE Board of Directors in the last 2 years
• Not live in a sanctioned country

SERVICE AWARDS

Recognize significant volunteer service to SPE

Regional Public Service Award

Recognizes distinguished public service of SPE members at the regional level to country, state, community, or public, with respect to local custom, through excellence in leadership, service, or humanitarianism,  provided the service is over and above requirements of employment.

Regional Service Award

Recognizes exceptional devotion of time, effort, thought, and action as to set them apart from other contributions.

Regional Young Member Outstanding Service Award

Is intended to encourage interests among the young members of the Society that are broader than the profession, and no award shall be presented solely on the basis of a candidate's contribution to the Society, the profession of petroleum engineering, or the petroleum industry. Recipients must be age 35 and under, exhibit leadership to the public and the community AND leadership to SPE, the profession, or the petroleum industry .

Regional Distinguished Corporate Support Award*

Recognizes outstanding support by an organization and distinguished service to SPE members in the region through excellence in leadership and through the commitment of time, energy and professional resources. The award recognizes companies that make contributions to the support of SPE membership, programs, and events and are not based solely on financial assistance.

FACULTY AWARDS

Faculty members in a petroleum engineering or technology school listed in the energy4me.org list of Petroleum Engineering and Technology Schools Regional Distinguished Achievement Award for Petroleum Engineering Faculty Recognizes superior teaching, excellence in research, significant contributions to the petroleum engineering profession, and/or special effectiveness in advising and guiding students

TECHNICAL AWARDS

Recognize significant achievement or contributions to the advancement of petroleum engineering in the area of the technical discipline. Recipients are individuals whose contributions to the technology stand out sharply and advances the discipline.
