Asset Integrity Management

Disciplines: Management

Course Description

Our 3-day Integrity course provides both theoretical and practical exposure to the foundations of asset integrity management and explains how it should be implemented to safe guard assets, people and the environment.

The course focuses on modern risk based methodologies to manage asset integrity in both newly constructed and aged facilities. It explains and then addresses key threats facing the Oil and Gas industry and provides both established and innovative practices to safely mitigate them.

Our literature and course content is fully code compliant and follows the latest industry wide best engineering practices. We create an interactive learning environment which analyses asset specific threats and previous major incidents from a variety of locations and operating environments around the world.

The course is delivered in 10 intensive modules which are interrelated and written to create a structured and comprehensive learning environment. Each module is followed by a practical case study where delegates are given the chance to implement aspects of the training with guidance from our expert trainers.

Instructor

Neil Flemming is a degree qualified mechanical engineer with considerable expertise and experience in the setup and implementation of Integrity management for onshore and offshore assets. Neil has previously worked for Lloyds Register, BP and he was the Mechanical Technical Authority at Petrofac before joining Asset Integrity Engineering (AIE) as the technical director back in 2012.

Neil originated from the UK although he has been based in the Middle East for the past 5 years. He has a thorough knowledge of the threats and challenges many operators are facing in the region and skills aim to offer a modern risk based approach to ensure critical assets are maintained in safe and reliable condition.

As a specialist in Integrity management Neil was a major contributor to the development of the Asset Integrity training course that AIE provides.

Neil has a wealth of teaching and lecturing experience from developing and educating staff in his previous roles within LR, BP, Petrofac and he has lectured the AIE Integrity course to a variety of external delegates from companies such as BP, Lukoil, ADCO, Petrofac, DNO etc. Neil has delivered the 3-day course to engineers, mangers and technicians from all key disciplines and levels of seniority. Neil’s recent lecturing performance was assed as “Excellent” via our post course training evaluation questionnaire which was completed by all delegates following our most recent public Integrity training course (Dubai / November 2013 / 18 delegates).

Neil also delivers technical presentations on Asset integrity to the Dubai pipeline operator’s forum and to the Northern Emirates Oil and gas Operators group.
