Oilfield 4.0 — Where Petroleum Intersects the 4th Industrial Revolution
Disciplines: Data Science and Engineering Analytics
Course Description
We stand at the threshold of the 4th industrial revolution which will impact all of us in our personal, professional and public lives. It will bring about a level and scale of change that we have never before witnessed. The oilfield will not be immune to these changes and rather than sit back and wait for the changes to come to our industry, we should be proactive in introducing them. It is imperative that we obtain an understanding of the digital and technological developments that are driving these changes so we can plan to bring them into our workplaces to help our teams, assets and organizations understand how to pilot and deploy and ultimately derive business benefit from them for all organization stakeholders. In so doing, we can visualize how strategic combinations of talents and technologies from both petroleum and digital are revolutionary, can enable digital transformation, and allow us to work towards an "Oilfield 4.0" vision for each of our organizations.
