Course Description

This comprehensive course is an introduction or refresher for the techniques of evaluating Canadian oil and gas properties, but the techniques used in this course also apply to oil and gas properties elsewhere in the world. There is ample opportunity to work problems in class. By the end of this course, participants will be able to evaluate an oil and gas property and interpret evaluations done by others.

Instructors

Cameron P. Six, P.Eng.,held several management positions in Sproule for over 16 years including being Sproule's President and CEO. His experience includes reserve and contingent resource evaluations, acquisitions, divestitures, security commission reports, reserve audits, and international property evaluations. Cam has provided expert witness testimony across the globe as well as support to legal teams for litigation purposes.

Cam has also held various technical and management positions with Mobil Oil Canada and ExxonMobil Canada. He has been teaching since 2004, and has a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary.

Tamara Warren, P.Eng., is a Petroleum Engineer with four years of reserve and resource evaluation experience at Sproule with a focus on Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin assets. Tamara has been teaching with Sproule Training since 2017 and has a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
