and other professionals in the upstream segment of the oil and gas industry.
Our Story
From our beginning as a committee within the American Institute of Mining Engineers (AIME) in the early 1900s, SPE has grown into an independent, nonprofit global society with 129,900 members in 148 countries. Learn more about our history.

Board of Directors
The SPE Board of Directors is comprised of industry leaders from around the world. As the policy-making and governing body of SPE, it oversees many of SPE's administrative and operating responsibilities. The board retains final authority on all SPE matters.
