Course Description

The objective of the training course is to provide an introduction to integrated drilling services looking at the key value drivers in selecting an integrated operational and commercial model and the environment where an integrated model is most suitable. During the course participants will look at a framework for quantifying the benefits of integrated models and the importance to adopt an integrated mindset from the outset of the campaign. The mode of teaching will include formal analysis, case studies and open discussions.

Instructors

Artem Fedorov is Integrated Drilling Services (IDS) Operations Manager for Schlumberger in the Middle East, a role he assumed in 2017. In this role, he manages multiple integrated projects across the Middle East region. Prior to this assignment he held roles in Saudi Arabia - taking charge of the first lump sum turnkey project for gas wells and various technical-commercial roles, including at Middle East IDS headquarters. Artem started his career in Russia with Schlumberger in 2006 as a well engineer and holds a degree in geology from the St. Petersburg State University.

Cecilia Malagon has been Integrated Drilling Services (IDS) Project Manager for Schlumberger Middle East since June 2016, focusing on an offshore field ERD project. With over 20 years of experience, over the years she has been assigned to different countries and positions including working as a project manager in India, USA and Mexico and a recruiting manager in the Middle East and Asia. She has also been involved in tendering processes and business development. Cecilia started her career in 1998 as a completions and workover engineer. She graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering from Tecnologico de Monterrey University in Mexico.

Tiberiu Ioan has been an Integrated Drilling Services (IDS) Senior Well Engineer for Schlumberger Middle East since April 2018, working on an ERD project. Prior to this assignment, he held different roles in drilling, underground gas storage, workover, abandonment and sidetrack projects in different parts of the world, including Aberdeen-North Sea, Italy, Romania and Russia. He was a project manager for a variety of projects in Russia and shared his experience as an instructor in the Middle East Learning Center in Abu Dhabi. Tiberiu started his career at Schlumberger in 2003 after graduating as a Mechanical Engineer from the Oil and Gas University in Ploiesti, Romania.
